Depending on the specifications and site conditions of each project, the tanks can be made of galvanised steel, epoxy-coated steel or glass-coated steel. The preferred sealing system is generally a reinforced PVC liner pre-fabricated to the dimensions of the tank, but it is also possible to apply a polyurethane sealant between the steel panels during the assembly.

As an alternative to bolted steel tanks, Sotanks® also supplies customised flexible tanks for firefighting protection.
